WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP?
Being a member of VetPartners affords many opportunities for networking, education and exposure. Please review the complete listing of membership benefits.
WHAT IS THE MEMBERSHIP CYCLE?
The membership cycle is annual based on the date you joined VetPartners. An invoice will be sent as your renewal date approaches or you may opt for auto-renewal.
HOW ARE MEMBERS VETTED?
Your application must include a recommendation letter from one colleague in the veterinary profession. Your one recommendation must be from a current VetPartners member. If you would like assistance connecting with a VetPartners member in your area for this purpose, please contact Meagan Bowker, Association Administrator.
The Membership Committee reviews all applications for completeness, qualifications and possible ethical code issues. The Membership Committee Chair verifies recommendations and approves membership. Membership dues must be paid at the time of your application.You can expect to be notified within 2 weeks of your application. How to Apply for Membership
- Complete the Online Membership Application below. As part of this process, you will be reviewing and selecting your appropriate membership category. It is important that the category you select reflects your current employment status. Please review our Membership Classification Guidelines and Examples for help in determining you appropriate membership level. (Please note that payment is required at the time of application.)
Complete the VetPartners Code of Ethics Questionnaire. In doing so you agree to abide by this code during the life of your VetPartners membership. Make sure to check the appropriate box on your online application form signifying you agree to this code. Your application is not complete without your answers.
- Submit One Letter of Recommendation from a current VetPartners member. You may review the member list under "Find a Consultant".
- Review the VetPartners Mailing List Policy.
Further Information on Selecting the appropriate Membership category
Please carefully read each membership level description before selecting your appropriate category. Note that the categories are designed so that you should only be able to select one level.
For purposes of 1. Industry Representative, please consider from the perspective of:
- You individually, if you have multiple sources of income;
- The company that you work for as an employee, if you derive the majority of your income from that company, or the company that you work for as an independent contractor, if you do not derive income from any other source; and
- The subsidiary that you work for, as opposed to the entire corporate group, if you derive the majority of your income from employment with a subsidiary that is part of a corporate group. (Note: this does not apply to unincorporated divisions.)
